The Hayden School District RE-1 Board of Education is submitting two Ballot Questions to be included in the November 3, 2026 Election.  At their August 31, 2026 Special Meeting the Board of Education passed two resolutions, one requesting an increase in the Mill Levy Override (MLO) that our stakeholders pay through their property taxes, and the second to ask our stakeholders whether they want to become part of the Colorado Mountain College District, which will also subject our stakeholders to future property taxes.

The Board of Education is asking for written public comments about the potential pros and cons of the two Ballot Questions be sent to Danielle Campbell (Hayden School District’s Designated Election Official), by email at dcampbell@haydenschools.org or by mail to Hayden School District, Attn: Danielle Campbell, P.O. Box 70, Hayden, CO  81639. All written public comments must be received by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on September 18, 2026.
